Cookie Policy
This page explains how Callmata uses cookies and similar storage on your device.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so it can remember information (such as which family you entered, or whether you have an active session) between visits.
Essential cookies
We use cookies that are necessary to run the service. Without them, you would not be able to enter a family, complete registration or recovery, or keep your session.
- family_tenant — remembers which family space you entered (about 90 days).
- family_auth — keeps you in your family session as a member (about 30 days).
- family_pending — short-lived state while you enter with a name/PIN or OTP (about 10 minutes).
- register_pending / register_verified — short-lived state while you create a new family (minutes).
- recover_pending / recover_verified — short-lived state while you recover a forgotten family code (minutes).
- callmata_install_dismissed— remembers if you dismissed the "install app" prompt (about 7 days). This is a preference cookie set in the browser, not an advertising cookie.
Session and flow cookies are httpOnly where appropriate (they cannot be read by page scripts), use a SameSite=Lax policy, and are marked Secure in production.
Other storage on your device
In addition to cookies, the app may use browser local storage to remember the last member name you used, and session storage for short-lived call-session details. These stay on your device and are not used for advertising.
Analytics and advertising
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not load third-party analytics cookies for tracking visitors across sites.
Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies or similar technology as part of bot protection on registration and recovery. That processing is only for security, not advertising.
How to control cookies
You can change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to enter your family or use Callmata as intended. Clearing site data will also remove local and session storage for this site.
